Kei Bishop

Psychometrician

Kyoungwon “Kei” Bishop is a psychometrician working in WIDA’s Assessment Department. She oversees quality control of WIDA’s psychometric process conducted at the Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL). She is also charged with handling psychometric research to evaluate accuracy and validity of tests. She is serving as chair of WIDA’s psychometrics committee.

Previously, Bishop served as a psychometrician with Pearson in Iowa City, IA. She has a Ph.D. in quantitative methods in education from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and did her postdoctoral training at the University of Iowa. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, Maggie and Sophie.
