Evaluation Resources Group (ERG)

The Evaluation Resources Group (ERG) is a part of the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER). ERG members are located in and supported by WCER and conduct evaluations of educational programs at all grade levels (PK-12, university, graduate school, and beyond), including professional development of teachers and the education and training of undergraduate and graduate students (in both teaching and research). ERG facilitates proposals for grants made through WCER as well as through other departments of the University, assuring interdepartmental coordination. ERG supports the quality of proposals and ongoing evaluations through consultation and group meetings organized around applied problems of evaluation design and measurement.

Contact is recommended at the earliest possible stage of projects, such as during pre-proposals. Because evaluations are frequently under- budgeted compared to the work required, as a rough guideline we recommend thinking about a minimum budget of $25000 per year for small projects and 5-10% of the total budget of larger projects.
