"Learning
with Understanding" Poster
This poster is the result of a combined
effort of Center researchers to produce a dynamic portrait of teaching
for understanding
in mathematics and science. The brillant colors in this original digital
version are nearly identical to the colors of the 22 X 34 print. The
text is based on research
by Center staff and reads:
"Understanding for Life. We will
meet the future head-on if we all learn with understanding:
- linking ideas one to another in a
rich, intricate web,
- applying what we learn to answer
new questions,
- reflecting on knowledge,
- and expressing ideas in creative
ways.
With understanding, learning becomes
personal. It lasts a lifetime."
Posters are sold at $4.75 each, including
shipping. Volume discounts apply.
