To me the experimental base is absolutely key. What makes scientific knowledge different from any other kind of knowledge? The fact that the ultimate test is an experiment. Science is made of models of the world, and you test those models with an experiment -- the experimental base of science, testing the science. Most students don't realize that science is made of models that people make about the world, and you test those models with an experiment.

Once I'd surveyed the students, I realized that most of the students don't realize that's a main part of science. Most of them think science is a body of knowledge, facts to be memorized.
