Resources - Overview

This section contains a variety of helpful items to answer other questions you might have. It includes a technology assessment section; a list of SMET practitioners skilled and well-versed, student assessment, and learning technologies; a quicklinks page with links collected from the quicklook stories and case studies; a glossary; and a page of links to articles, other web sites, and potential funding sources.

  • The assessment section of the Learning Through Technology (LT2) web site is intended to help faculty and administrators gather the kinds of facts that can help document and improve the effectiveness of computer and Web use in courses.

  • A "helpful people near home" list that contains SMET instructors and educators who have been supporters, collaborators, and friends of the College Level One (CL-1) team over the last several years. It includes members from the Collaborative Learning Forum held in May, 1997, collaborative learning stories' authors, FLAG Advisory Board members, CAT (Classroom Assessment Techniques) authors, Learning Through Technology Advisory Board members, case study key practitioners, quicklook authors, and all of the CL-1 Fellows.

  • The quicklinks page lists the many links and software mentioned in the vignettes and in-depth case studies.

  • The glossary focuses on computer terms. Though it is fairly thorough, it is not comprehensive, but we believe it is complete to provide answers that either a novice or a semi-expert may have.

  • Finally, there is a page to some articles that focus on teaching pedagogy and uses of technology, and to some potential funding sources.
