This section provides short stories that describe what some instructors are doing with technology in the classroom and the types of problems they are solving. This section can be sorted by discipline, institution, type of use, or author. In each case, a one sentence description of the story is given, and a choice of a story summary or the complete story is available. Also, selected comments from the story provide a way to jump to that part of the complete story.
All stories are presented in an informal manner to mimic a "conversation in a hallway" with a colleague or friend. The stories were developed from interviews of the key practitioners addressing a variety of questions including "Why use this technology?", i.e., what problem if there was one, prompted them to use this technology. In addition, the stories describe the course these instructors teach and how it was incorporated into the course ("The strategy") and the classroom. The instructors also commented on the specific technology used ("The learning technology"), whether it worked or not ("The results"), and where and if they received funding for this project ("The project support"). Finally, whenever possible, links are provided to the software, courses, companies or institutions mentioned in the stories.
Here's one example of Frederick Moore's use of the Workshop Physics approach to teaching and learning.
