Enhancing Skills in Human Capital Management

School principals often elevate teachers to leadership positions such as team leaders, coaches, and leaders of professional learning communities. But even while honing teachers' leadership skills, principals must have human capital management expertise, as they play the prime role in firing, inducting, developing, and evaluating teachers. The Strategic Management of Human Capital project is working on several efforts designed to enhance principal standards and skills in human capital management. More
