FAST Leaders to Convene in Madison

June 14, 2010

Families and schools will work more closely together as a result of next week’s international conference sponsored by Families and Schools Together, Inc. A nonprofit agency, FAST designs and distributes programs that strengthen families and improve student achievement by facilitating parent involvement in their children’s schools. Parents network with other parents and improve their parenting skills. They tap into local support resources that build protective factors around their children. The FAST program operates in 48 states and eight countries. Conference attendees will update their skills in leadership and team building and will receive certification training.
