Evaluating the Chicago Community Trust Education Program

October 25, 2010

Since 2005, researchers from the Consortium for Policy Research in Education have been evaluating the Chicago Community Trust’s Education Program. This program works to develop high performing elementary schools, strengthen and develop leadership in education, and sustain and strengthen innovation. New work beginning this fall includes two primary activities. CPRE Staff will assess the Trust’s 2009 grants by reviewing proposals, reports, and external evaluations; and will help two grantees develop logic models, evaluation plans, and evaluation tools for their projects during the 2010–11 school year. Work with these two grantees will demonstrate the potential for closely connecting the logic models of the Trust to more individual grants or clusters of grants in the future.
