VARC Partners with Milwaukee Literacy Project

August 8, 2010

WCER’s Value Added Research Center will serve as external evaluator for
the newly funded Milwaukee Community Literacy Project, which will
support 300 struggling readers in kindergarten through 3rd grade in
reaching proficiency. It aims to demonstrate an impact on improving
student growth in reading for high-need students by expanding investment
in community literacy. Of a total of 1700 agencies competing for
Investing in Innovation (i3) funds, this proposal was among the 49 to
win. http://data.ed.gov/grants/investing-in-innovation/applicant/14803
