VARC Receives $3.7 M Grant

February 1, 2010

The Value Added Research Center has been awarded a new $3.7 million grant from the Bush Foundation to help develop assessment tools and reporting mechanisms to measure student learning and teacher effectiveness. Value-added measures closely determine the effect a school and teacher have made on a single student. The Bush Foundation was established in 1953 by 3M executive Archibald Bush and family.
