Visualizing Regional Climate Change

December 26, 2012

Sandra Rutherford and colleagues work to improve climate literacy in the Great Lakes region. With continued funding from the National Science Foundation, they’re developing products, resources, and programs to broaden climate literacy in a range of audiences. Their work incorporates insights from education, learning science, and climate science. Their products and resources account for the diverse economic and sociological realities of Great Lakes regional populations. Their programs aim to transform climate knowledge into career skills through workforce learning opportunities, and to encourage young adults to develop climate mitigation habits through place-based projects.
