Improving Evaluations for Teachers and Principals

February 20, 2012

Steve Kimball and WCER colleagues are working with the Department of Public Instruction’s Educator Effectiveness Design Team to develop frameworks for teacher and principal evaluation. Three areas of collaboration include 1) developing model performance-based evaluation systems for teachers and principals; 2) developing a regulatory framework for implementation that includes how student achievement data will be used in context; and 3) recommending methods to support educator improvement and recognize performance.
