Improving Students’ Postsecondary Outcomes

Sara Goldrick-Rab and colleagues are reviewing research evidence and developing products to support the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC), primarily in the area of postsecondary education. Goldrick-Rab’s collaborators are Jeffrey Valentine of Louisville and Sandra Wilson of Vanderbilt. The WWC was established in 2002 by the U.S. Department of Education’s (ED) Institute of Education Sciences (IES) to provide educators, policymakers, researchers, and the public with a central and trusted source of scientific evidence of what works in education to improve student outcomes. This project focses on college readiness, transition to college, and completion of postsecondary education programs. More
