Analyzing Instructional Content and Practice

November 27, 2006

Surveys of Enacted Curriculum is an interactive site that encourages teacher reflection and conversation about classroom practice and instructional content. Online, web-based teacher surveys collect and report data on instructional practices and content being taught in classrooms. Then teachers can compare their own practice and instructional content to responses by other teachers within their school or district and around the country. Participating states, schools and districts use aggregated teacher reports to develop a baseline of information about teacher practice in mathematics, science and English language arts, and to inform professional development and school improvement planning efforts. Reports can be disaggregated by class size, amount of professional development, sub-group, and achievement level. More information is available here.
