July 9, 2007

The new book "How to Create World Class Teacher Compensation" discusses developing a compensation strategy and offers ideas for creating a variety of pay elements based on teacher knowledge and skills. Written by Allan Odden and Marc Wallace, it includes an appendix covering new performance assessment and evaluation systems for teachers and includes a scorecard for providing bonuses to individual teachers or groups of teachers based on improvements in student performance. The book is available as a free download from Freeload Press (registration required).
