"Powerful Practices" is a research-based resource for teaching math and science. Developed by the National Center for Improving Student Learning in Mathematics and Science, the 2-CD package includes a monograph summarizing basic principles of instruction using the practices of modeling, generalization, and justification; a 35-minute introductory video providing an overview of the practices and students' learning; and video excerpts from nine math and science classrooms, supported by narratives.

"Powerful Practices" is distributed by the North Central Eisenhower Math and Science Consortium. To place an advance order, e-mail BarbaraYoungren@LearningPt.org or call 800/356-2735.
