Martha Alibali
  Professor


Martha Alibali is a professor of psychology and educational psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She conducts research at the interface of cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and mathematics education. Specifically, her research investigates mathematics learning and development, with a special focus on the role of gesture in mathematical thinking and knowledge change. She is also interested in the role of gesture in communication, particularly in educational settings.
