Peter Witham
  Assistant Researcher


Dr. Peter Witham is an associate researcher at the Value-Added Research Center. Peter currently serves as the project lead and project manager for the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF 3 and 4) technical assistance projects. Through the TIF initiative, Peter collaborates with other education researchers and policy experts at UW and across the country to support districts and states designing and implementing federally funded performance based compensation systems. Peter has worked on the TIF initiative since 2006, with a primary focus of program evaluation of these complex systems. Peter has also been involved in a range of other technical assistance and evaluation project connected to educator effectiveness at UW-Madison and Vanderbilt University.

In May 2007, Peter received his doctorate from Vanderbilt University in educational leadership and policy. He taught elementary and middle school for four years in Nashville, Tenn.
