Katherine Delaney
  Project Assistant

Katherine (Kate) Delaney is a project assistant in the Value-Added Research Center (VARC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Kate's work for the current project examines how a district level school reform for data-based decision making plays out across all levels of the district (administration, school leaders, teachers and their classrooms).

Kate is a Ph.D. student in curriculum and instruction with a focus on early childhood education. In particular, she is interested in pre-kindergarten policy, practice and curriculum, as well as early childhood teacher education and professional development. Kate has worked as a preschool teacher in both university lab school and urban public school settings. Before coming to Madison, Kate taught in the early childhood teacher education program at UW-Milwaukee. She holds an master's degree in curriculum and instruction from UW-Milwaukee, and an A.B. degree from Barnard College of Columbia University.
