David Kang

David Kang is an econometrician at the Value-Added Research Center. He is researching Short Cycle Value-Added, or value-added data collected from tests given at shorter intervals. He is also involved in the Bush Foundation Teacher Effectiveness Initiative, which is working to produce 25,000 new effective teachers in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota over the next 10 years.

David grew up in Bloomington, Ind., and graduated with a B.S. in economics from M.I.T. He recently earned his Ph.D. in economics from UCLA.
