Steven Kimball
  Assistant Scientist

Steven Kimball conducts research with the Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE) and the Value-Added Research Center (VARC) within WCER. He also works on the Comprehensive Assessment of Leadership for Learning (CALL) project that is developing a formative assessment of distributed school leadership. Steve’s work with  CPRE has included research and dissemination on standards-based teacher evaluation and compensation reforms. Steve was the co-Principal Investigator of a study funded by the Institute for Educational Sciences on performance evaluation of principals. He was also Principal Investigator for the evaluation of the Chicago Community Trust Education Program. His work with VARC includes technical assistance for the Department of Education on the Teacher Incentive Fund grant program. Steve is Principal Investigator for the WCER team supporting the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as it develops teacher and school leader evaluation systems for the state.
