Meg Meyer
  Assistant Scientist


Margaret R. Meyer is a researcher with WCER and directs the Mathematics in Context Satellite of the Show-Me Center Project. This project supports awareness, implementation, and staff development associated with the new middle school mathematics curriculum.

Meyer was involved with the development of Mathematics in Context through the National Center for Research in Mathematical Sciences Education at UW-Madison. She also coordinates the secondary certification program in mathematics in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.

Her research interests include gender related differences in mathematics, the affective domain as related to mathematics teaching and learning, the role of context in mathematics learning, and obstacles to implementation of reform based mathematics curricula.
