Workshop on Improving Education in the Mathematical and Physical Sciences Through Use of Technology

Rapid advances in technology are having a profound effect on the way instructors can teach and students can learn mathematics and the physical sciences in college curricula. Databases, digital libraries, modeling software, sensors, and other current and emerging technologies are redefining both the tools and boundaries of MPS education. Analyzing current and potential capabilities of these technologies associated with teaching and learning involves a complex interplay of technological, pedagogical, economic, and political issues.
