System-Wide Change for All Learners and Educators (SCALE)

SCALE aims to reform math and science education, Grades pre-K through 12, through a partnership with California State University Dominguez Hills, California State University Northridge, the Los Angeles Unified School District, Denver Public Schools, Providence Public Schools, and the Madison Metropolitan School District.

SCALE brings together mathematicians, scientists, engineers, social scientists, and education researchers and practitioners to improve the math and science achievement of all students at all grade levels in the four participating school districts by engaging them in deep and authentic science and mathematics instructional experiences.

Documentation of what works and information about how to construct such a partnership will be made available to a wide audience of policymakers and university and school leaders, both within and beyond the partnership.
