NICHD Study of Early Child Care and Youth Development-Health and Physical Development Assessment

As part of Phase III activities, the Health and Physical Development Asasessment (HPDA) was developed during 1999 and 2000. This protocol includes a standard well-child physical exam and Tanner staging of pubertal development. The exam is completed within 1 month of the child's 9-1/2, 10-1/2, 11-1/2, and 12-1/2 birthdays.
