Student Achievement Guarantee in Education (SAGE) Program Evaluation 2001-2003

The Wisconsin Student Achievement Guarantee in Education (SAGE) program is nationally recognized as a leading attempt to improve student achievement by lowering the teacher-student ratio in the early grades. This project evaluates the relationship between the number of years students spend in SAGE and student achievement and special education referrals. Researchers also will compute the effect sizes of the relationship between the number of years students spend in SAGE and a number of participation variables, including special education referrals, attendance, and disciplinary infractions.
