Families and Schools Together (FAST) and Parents as Teachers (PAT)

FAST is collaborating with the State of Missouri and the Parents as Teachers (PAT) National Center in St. Louis to implement a combined "Baby FAST"/PAT program in three Missouri sites.

"Baby FAST" is a research-based family support and prevention program for infants, their mothers, and the mothers' supports. The multi-family group process brings together families to build and enhance relationships, at many levels, to enhance the infant's development.

The study is assessing the feasibility of combining Baby FAST and PAT. Researchers will make recommendations about how best to replicate if the initial outcomes are favorable.
