Content Analysis and Alignment Study for Pearson Education

This project is conducting content analyses of the 2004-05 Scott Foresman and Prentice Hall Mathematics benchmark tests and mathematics content standards for up to 17 states for grades 3-8, as well as content standards for algebra and pre-algebra where they exist among the state standards analyzed.
The purpose is to conduct alignment analyses of assessment instruments with state and national standards, using procedures developed at WCER that permit quantitative analyses into the degree of alignment found between standards and assessments.
