Instructional Improvement Through Comprehensive School Reform: Investigations From the Study of Instructional Improvement

Eric Camburn and a team of investigators at the University of Michigan designed and conducted a large scale longitudinal study of three of America’s most widely-adopted Comprehensive School Reform (CSR) programs. This study investigates the design, implementation, and impact of the three programs in a sample of 120 elementary schools located predominantly in disadvantaged urban settings. Camburn's responsibilities include general oversight of quantitative study components and the production of scholarly papers and research reports on instructional improvement and the measurement of instruction.
