The Impact of Teaching Mathematics Using MiC on Student Achievement

Mathematics in Context (MiC) is a dynamic middle school curriculum that challenges students to discover mathematical concepts and skills through engaging problems and meaningful contexts. Students in MiC develop mathematical models and strategies to solve problems; study number, algebra, geometry, statistics, and probability; and use numbers, symbols, diagrams, and words to describe the world around them.
