A Proposal to Conduct and Support Data Collection, Reporting, Analysis and Research Associated with the Surveys of Enacted Curriculum

The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) has established a Surveys of Enacted Curriculum (SEC) leadership team composed of professionals with experience in SEC data and research, technical assistance, professional development and project management.

CCSSO is providing services to the Ohio Department of Education during the period October 2007 through June 2009. In support of the SEC project, WCER staff work in five key areas:
Collecting and reporting SEC data
Analyzing state-level alignment of instruction, standards and assessments
Providing SEC data to the Ohio Department of Education for additional analysis and research
Conducting research on content validity, including relationship of aligned instruction to using SEC data, and
Integrating SEC with Ohio’s statewide data system.
