Technical Support for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Educator Effectiveness Evaluation Design Continued Developmental Assistance for the Wisconsin DPI's Educator Effectiveness System

The state of Wisconsin is developing and pilot testing new standards-based evaluation systems for teacher and principal evaluation systems. To maximize the impact of these systems and improve the effectiveness of educators across the career spectrum, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has partnered with school districts and high-needs schools to develop human capital management systems in participating districts. These systems will be aligned to the competencies anchoring the new Wisconsin educator evaluation systems and will include new performance- based compensation approaches.
