Evaluating an Algebra Readiness Program

August 29, 2011

Bill Clune and  WCER colleagues are evaluating an implementation of the Academic Youth Development (AYD) program. AYD is an Algebra readiness program designed to support the transition of students from middle school to high school mathematics. This evaluation will focus on how the AYD program is implemented at each school in order to learn which features contribute to program success, how AYD programs are adapted, and to identify ways to measure important context and outcome variables. WCER is collaborating with the University of Texas at Austin, with funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. More information is available here.
