Research Into PracticeJanuary 10, 2011 WCER researcher Susan Millar works to harness the power of computer games to help diabetes patients better manage their illness. She is among scientists at the UW-Madison Morgridge Institute for Research, which aims to get discoveries out of the lab and into the hands of patients and others who need them. She says, “Our efforts are focused on three key audiences: children and youth, as they are our future scientists and citizens; adults who play crucial roles in developing young people; and individuals affected by specific diseases, including patients and their families, friends and caregivers.” More information is available here.
