VARC—Milwaukee Collaboration EvolvesApril 14, 2008 Over the past decade WCER's Value-Added Research Center has collaborated with the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) to create a sophisticated system for measuring, tracking, and reporting the value-added productivity of MPS classrooms and schools. The collaboration continues with three new projects: Developing and utilizing value-added models for quarterly benchmark assessments; Building and implementing a value-added professional development system for teachers and principals; and Evaluating the effects of the MPS classroom value-added initiative using a randomized experiment. More information about VARC is available here.
