Lauren Bartholomae

WIDA Professional Learning Specialist

Before becoming a member of the WIDA Educator Learning, Research and Practice team, Lauren worked with diverse groups of multilingual learners in the K-12 school system in Nashville, Tennesse and Norfolk, Virginia. She has served as a Teach for America corps member and alum, in the role of content educator and ESL specialist. She has a special interest in using STEM/STEAM and project-based learning to transcend language boundaries in the classroom. 

Lauren is a doctoral candidate in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt University. She has additionally earned her Master's in Globalization and Educational Change as well as a Bachelor's in Global Studies and Psychology from Lehigh University.
