Gordon West

WIDA Assessment Researcher

Gordon West is an Asssessment Researcher with the Assessment Department. His duties include work on the development of kindergarten assessments and contributing to on-going research and test development projects. 

After teaching kindergarten, elementary, and middle school English language classes in South Korea, Gordon got his MA in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He worked in teacher education in South Korea and the United States, with a focus on teaching young learners. He has his PhD in Second Language Acquisition from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
